There are tonnes of things you need for a newborn baby, like sleep suits, vests, nappies... of course you do. But with SO much on the market these days and every company saying you need this and buy this, what have we found GENUINELY useful with our newborn?
Here are my top picks as a mama second time round. This doesn’t include everything we use or everything you’d need to get when having a baby, but they are things we use everyday without fail & things that life would be harder without!
If I had to recommend one product only to a new mum, it would be a Totter & Tumble playmat. We now have two downstairs in Mr 3's playspace, one in his bedroom and now also one in baby 2's nursery. Not only are they aesthically pleasing, coming in all different patterns and colour ways to match your home decor, but they're WIPE CLEAN. Babies and children are messy and no matter how hard you try and contain that mess, it ends up across the house. Swapping our rugs out for these means I no longer have to worry so much about accidents and spills or mucky hands and feet. They're perfect as play surfaces, being squishy and comfortable for both adults and children to be on, but are also firm and supportive at the same time. I just couldn't recommend them more. We have two of 'The Globetrotter', then one of 'The Harvester' and one of 'The Wanderlust'. (I am now a brand ambassador for Totter & Tumble, but all of this is my own opinion!)
