I cannot quite believe that we are nearly at the end of 2023. It doesn't feel all that long ago that Isaac turned one, we moved home and celebrated the first Christmas in our new home. Yet, here we are - Isaac now two, every room in the house looking nearly unrecognisable from how it was on the day we got the keys AND The Know & Play Space was launched.
Play-based learning is my passion and everything that comes with it - the amazing toys and resources, the prepared environments, the observation, reflection and purposeful change to name a few. Setting up The Know & Play Space this year has been a wonderful outlet of promoting just how wonderful and amazing our littlest people in the world are, how capable they are, and how much we can do as adults to really maximise their learning and development potential.
It's been a hard juggle managing raising a toddler, managing the running of a household, renovating a house, moving jobs AND also trying to run The Know & Play Space alongside all of that... but I really believe that it's been a year of realisation for me. I now know where my priorities are, what triggers me, what makes me feel more at ease. I know what the plan is for 2024 and how that'll grow us as a family, how this space will develop and I am so excited for all of the new content and adventures to come.
Before any of that though, I wanted to take the time to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me here at The Know & Play Space this year. Whether you're a member of the site, a regular engager on Instagram, a play rep, or just dip into a few blog posts every now and again... THANK YOU. I am so grateful to have you all here knowing & playing alongside Isaac and I, and I cannot wait to see this community continue to grow.
